Meet Our Staff

Patricia Groves: Owner

For five years prior to starting Dance Rhythms, she taught at Westview Dance Academy. In the past, Miss Trisch has taught preschool and children's gymnastics, tap, jazz, and ballet; as well as the adult tap and jazz students at Dance Rhythms. Although now retired from teaching, she owns & operates the studio.

Kimberly Beyleveld: Instructor & Choreographer

Miss Kimberly started dancing at an early age, and after many years of training and competing at the regional and national levels, she became an assistant teacher for a few years before teaching on her own. Kimberly recently graduated from the Mt. Carmel College of Nursing!

Lauren Buck: Instructor & Choreographer

Miss Lauren began taking dance lessons at age 4. She took dance for numerous years and competed at the regional and national level.

Melissa Cox: Instructor & Choreographer

Miss Melissa started dancing at age 3 and has competed in many regional and national competitions. During the week, Melissa is a first grade teacher for the South-Western City School district. 

Cindy Ebbinghaus: Instructor & Choreographer

Miss Cindy has been taking dance lessons herself from the age of five and started teaching dance at age 17. During the week, Miss Cindy can be found working as a beautician.

Diana Good: Front Desk Manager

Miss Diana helps run the front desk at the studio. You can find her answering phone calls, collecting payments, and keeping our books up to date.

April Frasure: Instructor & Choreographer

Miss April has taught at Dance Rhythms since the beginning. She has taught all age groups and competition levels over the years. She previously taught at Westview Dance Academy.

Taylor Frasure: Instructor, Choreographer, & Asst. Competition Director

Miss Taylor started her dance training at DRS when she was only three years old. She trained at DRS for fifteen years, eleven of which were spent on the studio's competition team. As a competitive dancer, Taylor has won numerous regional and national awards and scholarships. Miss Taylor has received training in tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, acrobatics, pointe, modern, contemporary, and choreography. Her choreography has been recognized at the regional and national levels. She is currently studying special education and dance at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Courtney Frederick: Instructor & Choreographer

Miss Courtney began taking dance lessons at the age of 3. She took dance for numerous years and competed at the regional and national level. 

Shelley Hutchinson: Instructor & Choreographer

Miss Shelley has been dancing since the age of five and teaching dance since age 18. She has been with Dance Rhythms since the very beginning. Miss Shelley team teaches with Miss Cindy and helps out at the studio when needed.

Kimberly McCalmont: Instructor

Miss Kimberly started dancing at the age of 3 at South Dayton School of Dance, joining their pre-professional company, South Dayton Dance Theatre, at the age of 11. She has trained in many dance styles; including ballet, pointe, modern, jazz and tap. Through SDDT, she has performed in The Nutcracker, Regional Dance America ballet festivals, and many studio recitals. Kimberly is a 2019 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, with degrees in Dance and Genetics. Currently, Miss Kimberly is a member of the Columbus Modern Dance Company (CoMo).

Natalie Sweeney: Competition Team Director, Instructor & Choreographer

Miss Natalie started dancing at age 3 and has competed in many regional and national competitions. During the day, she also works with children as a literature coach for South-Western City Schools. 

Alyson Townsend: Instructor & Choreographer

Miss Alyson began dancing at age 2 1/2, and took part in her first dance competition at age 3! During the week, she teaches first grade in the South-Western City School district.

Jessika Wickenheiser: Instructor & Choreographer

Miss Jessika started her formal dance training at the age of 4 at DRS, and she later joined our competition program. Growing up, Jessika trained in ballet, tap, jazz, gymnastics, lyrical, and hip hop. Her love of performing arts continued to grow when she began studying voice, which led her to join her high school choir & show choir, church choir, and several community musical productions. Jessika is also a certified Zumba and dance fitness instructor for adults and children. She has taught dance at various studios in the Central Ohio area.
